Here's a 30 inch 84 ounce AK by Sher that is flying today. 6 inch Kagas Katne at bottom for reference. We don't keep these in stock but make them for customers with big hands. Too much for me.

It was a special order by Steve Garvey

what do the kamis think of khuks this size?

Somebody told Sher that larger Americans grow to be 8 feet tall and 450 lbs. Yikes, that thing is big!!! (and nice)

Hey Uncle, how thick is the spine? If this was my AK it wouldn't be heavy enough. My 25" AK was 52oz and this 30" is only 2oz heavier.

Still, it's an awsome looking K.:)

How far back did you have to keep the camera. That is a long knife. More like a heavy duty Sword.
It is a pretty thing though.:)

Here's a breakdown of AK sizes and prices

12" - $100 - $8.33 per inch
15" - $125 - $8.33 per inch
18" - $145 - $8.06 per inch
20" - $195 - $9.75 per inch

As you can see, an increase in length does not guarantee a lower price. It probably has much to do with production quantity, and since this 30" AK is not standard issue...Plus, the extra-sized karda/chakma.

I'm going to wager a guess at the price on this 30" AK:

30" - $330 - $11.00 per inch

Was I close?

which leads me to a question...

Uncle Bill = how big are the wood tiles on your floor? They look to be based on a 1.5" module. If so, you could easily use them to show length and size of each khukuri as you photograph it.

Just line up the bottom of the handle and the bottom of the blade with your tiles...:D

30 incher is $8.33 per inch.

We're moving Pen. Good thought but almost past tense. I'll have to see what sort of background I can come up with in Titanic II.

Ok, Bill :D - be sure to get the kind that floats...:p

Re: $8.33/inch

At that price, you may be getting more orders...

That is definitely a steal at $250.

Look at it this way:
(broken down by weight)

12" - 16 oz. - $100.00 - $6.25 per oz.
15" - 24 oz. - $125.00 - $5.21 per oz.
18" - 36 oz. - $145.00 - $4.03 per oz.
20" - 56 oz. - $195.00 - $3.48 per oz.
30" - 84 oz. - $250.00 - $2.98 per oz.

What a steal!

That would be like getting a new BAS for ~$70 or at blem price.

You are a true salesman Bill.

that would mean I could get a 40" for about $300...?

:D :D
