Now that's an AK -- 30 incher by Sher.

Can the habaki style bolster on such a big khukuri really retains it to the scabbard? Though it actually works with smaller blades, there must be a limitation of weight.

Good question. This AK is a little heavier than I want to carry on my belt. It would fit nicely on a backpack or large rucksack. Believe it or not the bolster does contribute in keeping the khuk steady in the sheath, but at over 5# gravity and it's length help more. Hope that helps.

 40" AK

I think 30" would be my max I could handle.:)

Wish I could provide a full field report but have not been able to wring this one out yet. I am living in an apartment at the moment and do not want to terrify my neighbors by going out back (or front) and destroying things with a huge knife. Have been to busy to go out to friends place in the country (he has a big supply of cedar trees) to chop on things. Also no Yugos. The last house had enclosed backyard so go do testing out there. Hope to get somewhere soon. I'm a hopin!

cuz its a freakin' bill hook!

Impressive...most impressive...

Could'a fooled me. I thought it was a 15" Sirupati!!!! ;) :D

Sometimes my cigarette lighter feels heavy. What do I need with a 30 inch AK? Maybe there was a time but I can't remember that far back.
