Now we just need a CPM-3V Paramilitary 2 Sprint.

noob question: what is it in Cru-Wear that makes it better than the M4 or 3V? TIA.

I wouldn't say better. They are designed with different purposes in mind and are all excellent at what they do. Everyone has different likes and needs and their steel choices eventually will generally reflect it. That's the differences between the newer and more experienced users.I may try the new "steel of the day" but I generally am satisfied with the ones I have.

I value a combination of edge stability and wear resistance, then toughness, and finally corrosion resistance I value least. For me my preference is somewhere between O-1/W2/52100 up to the CPM M4 level of carbides/wear resistance and edge stability. ( Cruwear and 3V come in the group just a little below CPM M4 in carbide fraction)Though I like S90V, S110V, M390 I prefer something different for every day use and find those steels mentioned above work very well for my needs.

Are they better than someone else s choices? Not that I can tell.

My drwam para 2 would have either vanax 35 or nitrobe 77. But since those will neved happen id love a pm2 in either 3v, 4v/vanadis 4e or cruwear/pd1. Or 10v at 63-64 hrc, cmon Sal, you made it happen on the k2, para2 is next. Btw, id take all of those in a milie as well.

I'd bet the Cruwear would knock out just about any other steel out my EDC rotation. I like the Millie in Cruwear, just need it in a slightly more compact package.

52100 would be really nice too.

I heard the Millie is getting a run in 52100? I like 52100, hopefully Spyderco will run it hard.

Doomtr33, I have a question to ask you. my emails aren't getting through. Would you email me via my account?

I would really love to see a sprint run of cpm-D2 para 2's. They did it with the para 1 and military, so do it with the paramilitary 2 spyderco, NOW!
