As far as I know, neither of the two planned Spyderco automatics have yet begun to ship. Imagine that, as with most things which the government regulates, the paperwork must be in place before any shipments can be made. If that's the case, then it only makes sense for Spyderco to afford those of it's dealers who are legally qualified to carry automatics and wish to carry the Citadel and/or Samaritan when produced an opportunity to get the paperwork in place ahead of time.

Any info on where NSN's for current model's could be located?

Think you'll have to wait for Sal or Kristi to chime in on that. I honestly don't know what an NSN is, much less where to find one.

IIRC, it's short for national stock number - a 13 digit numberical code is assigned to 'stndardized material items of supply' as identified by the Department of Defense.

The Camillus X-Ray Auto for instance has an NSN of 1095 01 533 9377, and would probably be acompanied by a brief description along the lines of 'knife, automatic.'

Far as i can remember, for an Automatic knife to be considered as an 'official issue' knife it must have a safety. I would imagine this was a factor in the inclusion of the safety on the Citadel.

Our GSA covers a wide range of products with new models being added shortly. Yes, there are some autos in the restricted items list, with additonal models "in the works".
