Nuclear Meltdown Overlap?

BIGBEAR's thread got me to thinking about this...

Just wondering how much overlap will happen with older line-ups. Already, we see that the NMSFNO will be giving the FSH a run for its money. If the FSH gets stretched, that's going to be durn close to Battle Mistress territory.

Be interesting where/if Jerry goes next with Nuclear Meltdowns. There's not a whole lot of gaps out there in the lineup if you've been at it a while. The only reason I went for the NMSNFO is because I only own a couple of SH's and one of them is an Ergo. The 8" range is one where I don't have many Busses, and choppers are a weakness. Of course, I went for the NMFBM because it went big. Bigger than any Battle Mistress before. I'd probably go for a 9" Steel Heart because of said weakness, but I wonder about some of the smaller knives.

Maybe a Nuclear Meltdown Skeleton Key? Inch longer with the meltdown treatment would be VERY cool on that I think.

Well if there are going to be anymore with the NM treatment its safe to say that what ever will be next will be pretty interesting. I'm sure Jerry wont disapoint us.

I think I am getting obsessed with the idea of a NMSHSJ. HELP!!!

The obvious one for me is the AK. A 20"+ blade, all melted would be the baddest sword ever from Busse Combat. American Katana instead of the Kensei's Waki length blade.

I would jump on an NMAK. I wonder what the diff would be on an LE vs. CG? $500.00 :( ?

~29" would be pretty much perfect. Make it 74cm and call it the NM AK74

There probably wouldn't be any satin/LE NMAKs. As far as I know, there weren't any satin AKs either, because polishing it takes too darn long! :D

I wouldn't be interested in the smaller blades getting an NM treatment, unless they also got their choils chopped off and some other refinements, but something like a NMBATAC would be very interesting to me.

Don't say that! A satin, full convex, zero-edged NM AK74 is what we need! :D

With all the labor that must go into a "melt-job," I am surprised to see another NM offering at all!

A NM version of a BA III would be very nice. But wouldn't the stretch almost turn it into a NMSHSJ? This stretching and melting within a range with very few gaps is pretty darn confusing. A "mass" produced Dragon Fang or Silent Knight would go over well IMO.

Who cares? Bring it on! :p That is one I could go for. Not the BATAC, but the BA III.

I saw some pics from Knob Creek and somebody brought home a groovemaster. If they are making GM's then make some BAIII's. And forget to do the whole meltdown thing. I like it on that big FBM and I tolerate it on the new SFNO because its the only way I will ever get a SFNO but I don't want this to become the norm. I know people don't want their "investments" to lose value but I come from the other side of the coin and want to use my one and only BAIII but don't want to use a 600 dollar knife. In my perfect world, I would have Jerry change the BAIII enough to keep the "investment" guys happy and me happy at the same time. Its simple, grind the pommel just past the grips, groovemaster style, no extra half inch of knife just for a lanyard hole. Then keep your choil but make it tiny. Not small like a game warden but tiny. Little knives don't need a finger sized choil. Smaller is better and it would differentiate it from the originals. Don't meltdown a BAIII, I would rather have the sharp edges to strike firesteels and jusat to look "normal" in general. There, problem solved!
