Nuclear Tough Flashlights?

Are you wanting edc light or eyeball scorching light? I ask because my eyeball scorchers are all surefire. I've carried a Nightcore EZAA (AA light) for over a year as my daily work light. I have to make sure patients are still breathing at night. It was pretty good, but I've recently replaced it with a 4sevens Preon1 in titanium. The preon 1 doesn't come with a tailclicky, but the 2 does, & you can get the switch extra, or get the 2(it's just longer & brighter), or get the kit that has both bodies, 2 tailcaps, & 1 light module. I carried a 6p for years to work, & supplied my own batteries out of pocket. That got expensive. The Preon runs off AAA's that work supplies. Much better on my pocket & a right nice little light.

There's cheaper versions than the titanium, but why would you want 'em?

my current favorite AA light is this one from Jetbeam, for a whopping (bargain) $72. Closer to the build quality of a Surefire, with the features of a Nitecore or Fenix.

I see you are frustrated and have a thread going in TGTBTU section. Hopefully something good will come of it but please keep this thread on topic. So much good info. here and I'd hate to see this thread locked because it went in that direction. Good luck man. :thumbup:

Thank you, sorry to pollute this thread.

To be on topic, I have a Fenix LD20 that I bought to throw in my bag.
It uses AA batteries and throws something like 180-200 lumens i believe.
It also has 7 different settings, and also includes a strobe setting.

Great light, goes with me everywhere. It is very solid, and a great value. I think I got mine for about $50-$60.

No worries. :thumbup::thumbup:

That seems like a great price for a rugged Fenix. Good stuff. So many good choices here. I am slowly working my way through youtube reviews and candlepower reviews.

Fuzillade, Like Tyrkon Lawson, I also see your frustration, and hope that this meets with swift & simple resolution. Deals that happen on this forum take place elsewhere and are not normally within my...uh... "jurisdiction" for this tired brain's lack of a better word ATM (:confused::yawn:), but I did send David a PM asking him to reach out to you and notified him of the GB&U thread. That's as much as I can do concerning this matter as I'm just a Mod for this sub-forum and not site-wide (i.e., Super Moderator) or even for the GB&U sub-forum. Thank you for understanding and going back on-topic for this thread. I wish you both the best and I should mention that as long as I've seen DowntownDM on these forums, I've not heard of any problems concerning transactions with him.

Best of luck to you both. :)
