That's awesome! Is there a website or forum that is dedicated to cool non-wooden pens? How much does that one sell for?

12 Gauge Shogun...

Since wood is not real common in the world of fine pens might I suggest using "pens" as a search term in the search engine of your choice?:D

I tried that last night, I always come up with a bunch of mass quantity cheapo pen offers, such as those that are imprinted. Other sites are the fountain pen jobs, which simply is not practical for me. Then I get the basic parker/fisher/rotring websites, which I'm already familiar with. By the time I'm on page 3 or 4 of the search engine I'm usually tired of trying to sort through all of these websites.

Paul, I searched Ixquick for "pen forum" and found these two. Are they any help?

Wouldn't pay 0.5k for a pen either, but it looks awesome. Those Tritium inserts sure are a nice touch. He should call it TriTi. :)

There was once a company called Art Brown that was the greatest thing to find NEAT pens in... But they do not have their pen busness anymore...Just their art supplies.

Really? They sure show a lot of pens in their window in 46th St. in Manhattan as of last month. I guess I need to stop by....

Don't know where you got the info, but it's incorrect. Shop is still in the pen business. Their Annual Fall Pen Fair is scheduled on Oct. 27-29th, where the pen company reps will be on hand to answer questions, do demos, etc...

I am inquiring with my Ti friends in China about making replicas of that nukepen without the trit inserts and then adding inserts once it gets in the USA.

Ah just what the world needs more crappy Chinese knock offs of quality products!

At least do everyone a favor and change the design. You can use the same idea but don't rip off Tom Anderson's design!

I've stopped by Art Brown for years for supplies and equipment. I got some of my best calligraphy pens, discounted, being there when they were on sale.

phantomspook:

I am deeply dissapointed.

The price I ask is what is needed to cover my expenses and feed my family. I do this full time. It's not just a hobby. And, if you took the time to search around, you'd soon find other pens by other artists that cost much, much more.

If I wanted to "produce" these, I could just as easily go to a CNC machine shop and contract out all the work. However, my customers are so dear to me that I feel I owe them something that I designed and created in my own shop with my own hands - with their satisfaction as my primary goal.

You might have undertood this if you spent the many years I have to acquire all the machinery and to develop the talent needed to design and make such items. And, you'd even undertand my dissappointment even better if designing and making such items was your sole source of income.

But, if you just want a cheap knock-off pen that looks like one of mine, I guess this dissertation is a waste of my time. I'll make sure other "interested parties" get to see it, though. After all, many of my customers and business associates also happen to be friends. You might not understand that, either.
