If you like the design and can't afford it, you could always try your own hand at making one. Going to a manufacturer to have a "replica" made is a blatant rip off. :barf:

"The road to HELL was paved with good intentions." So yeah, its overly dramatic but I don't believe its too far off the point most everyone in this thread is trying to get across to you.

It would be one thing if you wanted to rip off Mount Blanc or some other major fine pen company. Hell, to be honest, I might even entertain the notion of buying one from you if I liked the style. But this is an entirely different thing. The person you intend to rip off is an individual, a craftsman, someone who most likely puts his food on the table by the sweat of his brow. He is not a corporation, he most likely doesn't have the user base or millions of dollars that a large company has and he almost surely would notice the difference in income if you did what you propose.

If thats just free enterprise to you then you have nothing but greed in you. To me, free enterprise is the competition between two companies- not one individual ripping off the design of another simply because he doesn't want to pay the price asked. Thats just... wrong. and disgusting.

P-spook you are so very wrong on so many levels. The response you are getting on this forum should be some indication of what most people think of ripping off other peoples ideas. That is not "free enterprise" that is theft.

This phantomspook guy is either very very stupid or a complete scumbag. Either way, I'd be happy to see him disappear from BF!

Since the original topic seems to have fallen by the wayside, perhaps we should lock it. (Not my forum or I would :) )

If this guy's initial scheme (and perhaps his other responses more so--NO FRIGG'N REMORSE :rolleyes: ) don't deserve a ban, then pray tell what does?
