Number 15 riding along.

Kinda like those televangelists that get caught with the church secretary. They may get forgiven, but their ratings never really recover. ;)

The only think keeping me away is the steel liners I feel like that would make the inside of the knife very prone to rust.. do you have any say about what you have seen while using the #15 Carl?

Well, I'm much better looking than Carl, but I've carried a Charlow or a pony jack since September and I've had no problem with rust. It really doesn't even figure into the equation. The steel liners are very traditional. They work very well.

I have a #15 boy's knife just like jc57's pictured above, except a single spear blade model. I've been carrying it everyday for that last several weeks. I really like it. More every day, in fact. About the only bitch I have, and it's a small one, is that the spear point blade is not that great at piercing things. Mine gets rubbed with Tuf-Glide every couple of weeks or so. Even inside the liners, no rust so far.

I haven't had any rust on the liners or bolsters. Just some dark splotch staining here and there, like a darkening of the steel.

My 15 is a Barlow with single spey blade in African Blackwood. I've been carrying it as my #2 EDC for a month now and love it. Slim and simple.

I don't see a problem Carl, fidelity is overrated, its ok to have more than one Precious :-)
as in
Honey, you have nothing to worry about. The others don't mean anything.
You will always be my favorite (insert correct name here… Peanut, Charlow, Remington, Camillus, Boker, etc)… LOL!

Please take it easy on The Grand High Muckba! We should encourage our brothers. I myself have danced on the darkside recently with Barlows and I'm sure I'm not the only one whose faithfullness has faltered. In the interest of knowledge, maybe we should avert our eyes to an occasional foray. Of course I say that with a Peanut in my watchpocket and a Buck 301 in the other........

I don't have many pocket knives really. Compared to most here I have very few - 8 GECs to be exact. They're all very special to me and give me great enjoyment. I prefer not to have "too much stuff", so these 8 will probably be about all I own as I don't want to collect/accumulate bunches of them.

I always have two pocket knives on me, one in the watch pocket and the other in the right front pocket. I only carry about 4 of the 8 regularly though, the others see occasional pocket time. The 55 is always one of them, the #2 spot is what rotates. Lately that's been the 15 TC Barlow, but very often it's the 2-blade Pemberton which is a huge favorite. The 92 Eureka Jack is also one of my favs. The more I carry this single spey TC Barlow the more and more I like it though. It's rapidly become my go-to now in the #2 EDC spot. I love the slim profile of a single blade slip-joint.

For some reason I continually gravitate to the 55, it's irresistable for some reason. This knife just fits me so perfectly, it's a bond that's grown and won't let go to the point where the rare times I've even thought of giving it a day off I almost instantly start to feel a mild anxiety and go back and drop it back into my pocket! lol

06 Pemberton, 55 Houndstooth and 92 Eureka Jack...

55 and 15 TC Barlow

I don't need any cult fanatics hunting me down with their peanuts, all because I gave a knife to a buddy.

Even if my evil master plan was to corrupt ;).

LOL! You're getting it hard Carl! :D

The 2-blade Boy's Knife is one of my favourites. As I keep my nails short, I've raised the main blade very slightly with a thin sliver of balsa wood, makes it a wee bit easier to open :)

I've bought nearly every #15 variation released in the last while...I love the pattern and carry one every day. As soon as I started using it. I loved it. I do prefer the single blade variety.

That "charlow" with ebony and a spearpoint is one that I am missing and really wishing that I had. Best looking of them all I think.

Excellent shot, really shows off these knives.

Thanks, Will

Thanks, Will. It's interesting how much the type of light affects the appearance of knife handles, especially bone. Here's that same Rust Red GEC under fluorescent light. Same cell phone camera:

Almost doesn't look like the same knife, but it is. I guess pocket knives prefer the great outdoors. :)

The penalty for treason or more accurately in your case Carl sedition is historically a harsh one. To be hung ,drawn and quartered.
It is my duty therefore harrumph harrumph to sentence you to hang out, draw the cork from the bottle and slice the salami into little nibbly bite sized quarters.
Proceed.

Sentence carried out as ordered. One Italian salami butchered as ordered! With a peanut of course.

peanuts are unforgiving, there is no "confession" just punishment...
unfortunately Carl is due for an inquisitional visit, probably involving listening to hours upon hours of the show "The Nanny" starring Fran Drescher
*shudders*

and have you started your "the nanny" marathon yet?:D

Further penitence carried out. Made salad fr dinner using only the peanut. Red bell pepper, tomato on the vine, romaine lettuce, fresh dill.

I really love that Spear blade in Ebony. I've been looking all over but can't find one. Anyone know if they'll do another run of those anytime soon?

Carl, that #15 looks timeless, looking good Sir!

Thanks bud! I've been using the liven' hell out of it on all kinds of things. The food stuff like fruit, cheese, sausage, has stained the blade really good, but I think I'll just leave it alone. The edge is nice and bright, and that's the important part.

Carl.
