Finally got this together, it was much more work making everything 8 sided and if I could take a decent picture you'd get to see it better. This is the old old saw steel with old old wagon wheel wrought iron fittings and a not so old piece of Africian blackwood for a handle. The whole knife is 6 3/4" long. I tried getting a close up of the blade, its really got some interesting stuff going on in it but you'll just have to take my word on it.

Very Nice. I also like to use old metal. The guard section style suits the age of the metal. I have seen a similar guard style but oval so nothing had to line up. you have given yourself a lot of extra work. Well worth the effort.

Let us know when you finish if it was infact easier with the oval or the flats. It is sometimes harder to do what looks easy.

Really AWESOME !!!!!!
Man you just keep taking this style of knife to new levels,Guess I better come visit again and get some lessons from the master at this style:)
really awesome work Ray.
