Man, it has been months since I got that awesome feeling of finishing a knife. It's almost like a kid on christmas day, especially since finally it's a knife for ME!! ANyhew, you are looking at a paring knife with a tumbled finish 3.5" blade, 154CPM flat ground. the guard is walnut burl with a .020 brass spacer and ipe handle sanded to 600 with a teak oil finish. All that and one visible 1/8 brass pin. The rest of the pins are hidden, 4 in the guard and two in the handle. Why I used 4 in the guard? Well, I pretty much had no idea what I was doing. BTW if you notice the cloudiness in the mirror finish, well I hope that comes out with some simichrome. This is gonna be one of my beater knives, a part of a 3 knife set with a skinner and slicer with a 7" blade. They are all going to be finished the same way.

Wow, Mikey, that handle finish is so fine... you have some amazing skills, man!

You're off to a great start. I didn't have anything that nice for the first year never mind the first four. Congraduatations!

Very nice, I love the handle finish and shape, looks very comfortable, and the blade shape looks like it would be a joy to use.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I am so stoked!! The larger knives are gonna look so much better with bigger pieces of walnut so you can really see the burl.
