I've looked but can't seem to find a thread like this, if there is, please direct me to it.

How many knives do you own? I just wanted to hear about some of yalls collections cause I'm sure some of you have large collections. Try to list them if you can.
I'd also love to see pictures of peoples knives all together, or even the boxes all stacked up so we can get an idea of the size of your collection

The most recent thread of this nature has probably slipped down farther than you can access without the search function (that comes with a paid membership, hint hint ;)). They come along every few months.

I don't really have a collection, it is more of an accumulation. I don't have an exact count, but probably 600 to 700 knives all told.

Got to about 80 or so and gave about half away to my kids (3 sons and a daughter) Gave a few more to friends so I was down to maybe 35 or so as of a couple years ago. I probably have about 50-60 again. I have been accumulating slipjoints lately along with some neat new Spyderco designs. I am probably on hold for a while to save up for the Blade show in 2010.

Starting tomorrow...all of one, thanks to my wonderful gf who bought me a satin finished ZT 0350.

Sounds like a keeper! I pared down my collection a couple years ago to about 30 knives. Last summer I had to do a drastic sale down to meet some divorce decree's. But now that everything is back in the black, so to say, I have my collection back up to around 25 knives. I don't have many but what I have are the one's I want, the one's that meet my particular analism!

Sorry to hear about the divorce. As far as knives are concerned, I have only a handful that I want to acquire at some point or another.

Benchmade 710d2 - I think everyone needs one of these at one point or another.
Spyderco Manix 2 - perhaps as a gift to myself after I take my GRE.
zero tolerance 0350 - should come in tmrw.
DDR MQ-1a - love the "trigger" flippers from DDR...this one is affordable.
Brian Tighe Coon - my favorite knife design of all time.
CRK Mnandi - need at least one gentleman's knife.
Alsdorf doctor slippy - definitely need at least one slipjoint

I can now scratch off the ZT 0350 from the list. :)

600-700.........600-700!!! MY GOD! Did the mate and have kids or something! That is a huge collection. I was proud of my 50 or so knives! That is awesome. Maybe one day I'll have a giant collection that I can pass down through the ages. I've actually been collecting for years...buying some...selling some...I didn't get serious about collecting until I bought my first Benchmade a little over six months ago...and that's all she wrote.

I'll list the ones I can remember...thats one thing good about having a small collection...I can remember them...the good ones anyway!

- Microtech Troodon Blk/D/PE OTF (My newest acquisition...and my new favorite! I'm now in love with Microtech)
- Puma Tac One - My first "real" knife
- Every Swiss Army Knife made by Vicitorinox (new ones anyway...actual German Army issue one is probably the coolest SAK I have)
- Benchmade 3300 Infidel
- Benchmade 3300BK Black Infidel
- Benchmade 3550BK Pardue
- Benchmade 32 Morpho
- Benchmade 32BK Black Morpho
- Benchmade 32-81 Damascus Gold Class Morpho
- Benchmade 47 Tanto Balisong
- Benchmade 140/141 Nimravus (all kinds)
- Benchmade 147BK Nimravus Cub
- Benchmade 210-83 Gold Class Activator
- Benchmade 525-81 Damascus Gold Class Mini-Presidio
- Benchmade 211 Activator
- Eickhorn S.E.K. M1 Marine Dagger PE (Personal Favorite)
- Eickhorn S.E.K. M2 Marine Dagger SE
- Eickhorn S.E.K. P Police Dagger
- Kabar Marine Fighting Knife (Tanto)
- Becker BK-3 Tactool
- Blackhawk MOD Harkins Triton OTF
- Blackhawk XSF Micro
- A.G. Russell CIA Letter Opener - just cause its cool!

The rest are your average work blades...Gerbers, SOGs and a bunch of others I can't remember off hand. I think that includes most of the ones you guys would recognize. I figured I could post these here and revisit in a few years to see how my collection has grown!

thats kinda the reason I made this thread. I'd love to see a thread like this stay towards the top like the EDC thread or the recent purchase thread, just so people can keep looking back to see what their old collection used to be.

My collection is small, but growing.

Benchmade MiniGrip
Spyderco Salt I
Kershaw Leek
Kershaw OD-1
Kershaw orange g10 Tyrade
Boker Subcom
Case Mini Copperlock
Victorinox Climber

I've also got two of my grandfathers Schrade's.

That's what you get when a packrat accumulates knives for 45 years.

I bet there are some gems in that collection!

It woulkd be cool if the forum had a collection feature in your profile. I am a member (even though I don't visit as much as I used to) of a large Remote Control Hobby forum that has an awesome collection feature. There are drop downs and add ons for pretty much every item made...its huge. Everyone updates their collections and keeps track of everything on the forum. For some of you guys that would be pretty much impossible...and maybe why they don't do it...but you could include the good stuff. It actually becomes incredibly usefuly when you are looking for something...you can see what other forum members have and offer them cash or trade for it. They added a section for "looking for" and "up for grabs"...very cool little feature.
