Numbered Centofante

I have just incresed my Spyderco collection to 5 with a Centofante serrated. I've noticed it is numbered on the box and blade. What does this mean? I'm a "user"rather than a collector and would hate to ruin something someone else would want.

The first 1000? pieces produced are numbered.

I use my numbered Centofante Jr all the time, I don't like to buy non-users either

Using them add sentimental value and parting with those numbered 'lil spydies is such sweet sorrow...
