I have a production model CQC-7a and I am wondering about the numbers that are printed on the blade. I know what the CQC-7a stands for and that the 99 is the year of manufacture. After the 99 there is three numbers which looks liek 608. Can any of you guys tell me what that meann ? I will thank all responses in advance.

I may be mistaken, but I believe that is number of knives that had been made at that time. Yours would be the 608th CQC-7A made. I have 2, one is #145 and the other is #1887 both are labeled 99 which was the year Emerson began producing his own production CQC-7. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Hope I could help!
