We are kicking around an idea this morning. What do ya'll think about Serialized Dog Tags?

These would be a more traditional style tag over the solid copper ones we have previously offered.

What do ya'll think?

I'm interested. If were picking numbers I'll take 00 or 5. Not to concerned about the number though. Definitely a cool idea.

Would be kind of cool! Like Brian it depends on the price, but I would take #16 if we're claiming them.

I never served (tho I wanted to) ... I've always felt weird about dog tags on ppl who didn't serve..

Chris says that this does not offend him. If one of our veteran customers has ANY issues with this please let me know.

I've got no problems but our dog Leo is sitting here next to me so I asked him what he thought. He said it was kind of offensive to him for us to be copying his style. He asked what would happen next, would I be eating out of his bowl. Instead he asked if you could call them people tags or even spider-tags. (Kidding)

Funny you should say that, as I was looking at challenge coins the other day and ran across this. No affiliation or anything and I'm sure there are lots of suppliers.

I am a Veteran but Have no issues with this Idea. I think its pretty cool Actually.

Indeed I am a veteran as well . No problem!! But I'm confused with the concept of "serialized" , especially after seeing the others posts! Some further 'splainin would be good!

I'd be in on this depending on price. I don't really have a number in mind . . . maybe 3:16

Or even better, Andy, you can pick for me my friend!

or initial thought was to get them "0000-1000" in numerical order. The first ones being reserved for Fiddleback Forge employees and family or something like that

Ahh Ha ok ! In that case I need no specific number. My service number was 751100 so I sure don't want to wait that long, but I definitely want one!
