Hi Gang- Do you find yourself wanting to EDC an "other" folder but when you go to get it, it doesn't happen and the Spyderco stays in the pocket?
I have some nice custom folders and they stay in the drawer!

I know exactly what you mean. I've recently acquired a few nice ZT folders and as much as I want to carry them, I always grab my ZDP delica.

Rolf, my Advocate is still firmly glued to my pocket for testing, but I have a ZT 0562CF Hinderer and a ZT 0540CF Sinkevich inbound, so I'll let ya know. :)

My Pacific Salt won't get out of is pocket place no matter how more folders (30+) I've gotten/bought/traded since

This too.^
Thanks, gang.
At this time, the Hole beats the chisel grind. Man... that's heavy!! :D

Nope, regular EDC is always a Spyderco and usually a Stretch. OTOH, the auto in another pocket is usually either a MT or Piranha since Spyderco's never made a DA/DE OTF auto. :(

Thanks, Paul!^
Al- I hope to hear your report on the Advocate soon.

For this very reason I've started carrying a Manix 2 LW clipped inside my belt on a regular basis, along with whatever folder I may have in my pocket for the day. That way I have a knife with the ultimate slicing capability no matter what knife I'm carrying, and it is so thin and light that I don't even notice it.

Even more often, added to my EDC I've also taken to carrying a pair of dragonflys daily (one serrated) clipped I my back pockets. Those disappear as well, but offer outstanding utility when needed. It may sound silly to carry so many knives, but this is our madness.

I heard the Advocate was having problems with the washers that the bearings run against. Did Spyderco resolve this? I saw that the bearings were grinding the washers down to nothing in a very short order. If any company would fix it, it's gunna be Spyderco.

NSBFL- Thanks! Not crazy at all.
Lapedog. A.P.F. is going to give us a report on the Advocate situation asap.

Nothing beats spyderhole!
(Or byrdiehole, I missed the Cara2, getting them again)

Actually I almost don't have any non Spyderco except some beaters 8Cr (SRM/Enlan) and one CS XL Tanto Voyager (all stud off, so it's hole too).

Clipped inside the belt is a nice way to carry an Endura. Or Stretch. Or PM2.

I have this problem, but only as it pertains to not rotating through all of my potential Spyderco EDCs enough. What are these "other" folders you speak of? :D

I mean, I usually also have a SAK somewhere nearby, but they're more companions then competition...

Pacific Salt and Zome Endura have not needed to fight any other folders out of pocket this week.

Nice pack.^
inkynate- My Mission MPF or my Crusader Forge at times tempt me.
I have been EDCing my newly acquired LT Rhino. I just love this unorthodox folder.

I have bought other knives, but when I carry them, as fine as they are, I do not love them. Spyderco has ruined other knives for me. I always end up removing the other brand and putting the Spyderco back in my pocket even before I get out of the house.

I tried few others, mostly Kershaw and ZT. Latest ZT0562CF. I was exited about this knife, which was advertised as the blade with slicing grind. Price is not bad considering materials and country of origin. I reprofiled it to 12 degrees per side. Nice toy to flip. Looks great. Not bad for shallow cut and probably really good slicer to compare with others ZT.
