Once you get used to using one of these knives you will find all kinds of uses: cut a pizza, chop veggies, gut a fish, cut up a whale, etc. I use a similar knife to cut leather in my shop.

Forged from 1095
Flat grind
Machine finish with some forge marks
Mustard patina (any high acid food will add to this patina)
Cocobolo handle
Cutting edge 7 1/4 inches
Height from the edge to the top of the handle: 5 inches
Leather edge protector

Once I get a house I'm going to have to get one of these. No sense in living in Canada without an Ulu!

Just wanted to chime in here and say thats some really nice work.

Jerry

And in person it looks even better - it looks like it is at least hundred years old, and it is made with a great taste. The craftmanship is timeless.
Now, I just need to learn how to use, and to get ready to cut up one of those whales.
Thank you, Gerry!
