I took this "Nutter" this morning with my Ruger MKII Target .22LR -

Anyone else taking any with .22's this season ?

Wish we could handgun hunt up here, but I get em, and the grouse with the Custom Ruger 10/22 for some longer range fun, or the Marlin Youth if I'm out about on the quad.

More gun porn is always good. ;)

Hey K, thats a John Lloyd Lanny's clip.
It's my all around hunting knife this year and I really think it's going to work well.

You all are making me jealous. I have a plain Jane Ruger Mark 2 that I'm trying to decide whether or not to upgrade to a bull barrel/trigger job, or just sell it and buy a new one.

My advice...for what it's worth  Keep your stock MKII & save up for a heavy barrel .22LR handgun. Ruger's are nice but kinda pricey & same with the Browning Buckmarks (another awsome .22). A good deal on a .22handgun hvybbl is the S&W .22A, I had one & it shot great !

Nice! I love the Ruger MkII. Back in the day my brother and I each hit the woods on the farm with one in a holster and our rifles when we were deer hunting. If we found no deer we would always at least bring back a few squirrels and a rabbit or two for dinner.

Thanks! I enjoy your posts, and will be happy to take your advice!
