Does anyone have pictures of the Q-III? I'm looking for comparison pictures mostly. I have one coming within the week, and I was wondering how big it is compared to a CMG Infiniti Ultra.

Don't have the pics you wanted, but you will LOVE this light. It is amazing.

Check out candlepowerforums.com - they will definitely have the pic you are looking for...those guys are to lights what we are to blades.

comparative review - lots of pics and beamshots.

Nuwai Q3

It is very bright for a small pocket sized light -
BUT the runtimes are short for an LED - about 1 hour (some reported less) on a single CR123...
think about it - 3watts on a single CR123.

I really like that Longbow Micra. But it's really hard to justify getting it when I got the Q-III for 1/3 the cost.

Vincent, have you checked runtime of S1801?
Nope...
(unless someone wants to send me 2x CR123 to do a runtime test -
one for the test, the other a penalty for for wasting a battery :D)

The S1801 specs at GoldenGadgets.com claim 6hours - I suspect it probably is somewhere between that and half? say 4.5 hours? depending on the CR123 (which are not created equal - I think Sanyo are the leaders)

I rec'd my Q3 on Friday and I'm a little disapointed in it. The switch was ackward to operate for me, I had to use my fingernail instead of the pad of my finger to get in there.
The pluses are it's size is small and looks well made, free holster is cool, my pocket clip was on crooked but other than that, well made and clean.
and, now that I've learned the runtime is 45mins, I'll use it as a backup light.
Sure it was $30 but like many flashlights, buyer beware. People like to hype up a product or it's the flavor of the month and the dreaded Luxeon lottery, (oh, I hate that word)
As I said, this will be my last light purchase for a while.

I don't like the switch, either. That's why I don't have one. The one in my pics is my best friend's. I may still get one, though. Throw a T-bin, and a R123 in there, and you've got a serious light for very little money.

You know what that's brighter and runtime is a bit longer? A Lambda minipro 3 watt TWOJ I got in a trade. That makes my minimag a serious contender and it uses my nimhs.

I've seen that "6hours" claim too, but Q-III package
says 75 lumens and I can see something like 25...

I tried to say that claimed 6 hours runtime of S1801 can be close to truth like claimed brightness of QIII.
Hope this time I've succeeded to say that better. :)

OK......
My Nuwai QIII (caveat: sample of one) appears to be brighter than any of my 1watt Luxeon based lights and seems to be on par with other 3watt Luxeons - so perhaps my sample of one might be a bit more than 25 lumens -
I do not have a $10K-20K integrating sphere to do any Lumens measurements to say for sure.

Besides, I did say the battery life in the S1801 was probably between the advertized and 1/2....

maybe I'm just a cynical optimist?
or is that an optimistic cynic?
Yes, it is a guess
Here's an even more accurate guess (oxymoron) -

somewhere between 0 hours and infinity....
OK? :D

Just received my Q-III in the mail today. It's great. So much light from such a small package.

I got mine this week too. It is my first flashlight purshase since the mag lights first came out. It easily out performs my 2D cell Mag. A whole lot of light out of a little package for sure.

I broke down and ordered one, anyway. My friend's convinced me, along with the fact that you can get glass lenses for it now. It's pulls close to an amp off the R123, and is probably getting 800+/-mA to the emitter. I've got an extra TYOK that's going in there.
www.countycomm.com has the QIII for $27+shipping. Like everything else, the light has its positives and negatives, but nothing in its price range comes close to it.
