The Northwoods Hawthorne, GEC 48 Pattern and Case Slimline Trapper have always been a favorite pattern of mine over the years. There are other threads with specific patterns of Traditionals. I thought this would be a good pic thread to show these patterns. I know other manufacturers have similar patterns but call them something else.

Post them if you have some.

very cool, given the chance back then, id certainly would have that over the white acrylic seen here to match the buffalo horn. ignore the 74, its a borrowed picture from another thread.

That white actylic is still really nice!

The story behind my white bone CSC - it has a mostly dead spring in it (some slight pressure closing). I had sent it for warranty repair and it sat there for nearly a year. Even spoke to Wally about it a few times on the phone. Eventually it came back, but with a replacement, which I let go of some time back. I promised Wally I wouldnt sell this one since it doesnt have a serial # anymore. This was around the time of their unfortunate demise. Thanks to the help of Eric there was a happy ending.

Those 48's are rare ones also. Nice group!

Somewhere I have a Schatt & Morgan Slimline Trapper from 1991, first in the Keystone Series. It's rather odd in that it's sabre ground...not the most efficient slicer...but it's a nice decently made knife.

Great idea for this thread C cutchu
I’m a fan of the Slimline frame no matter the maker. I’ve carried and used the Case 048 pattern as well as the GEC 48 version and find them to ride well in the pocket and serves as a great overall carry. When asked, Bill Howard claimed absolutely no connection between the GEC and Case version…purely coincidence. Here’s a pic of one of my single blade, big clip favorites from 2015.

Here’s the complimentary two blade to the single Cardinal Red above. 👆🏻
Once I found out that this had been produced as a SFO for Chris Tenney, I knew I had to track one down. I found that Chris lives about 20 miles from me and he just happened to have one of the original 25 left. He graciously sold it to me at his cost and it’s been a signature piece in my collection ever since. As a lifelong “Buckeye” and OSU alum, this one with the state shield will be with me till the end.
