The camp knife from Nick arrived today, and it is an amazing knife. I had to get it out for some quick testing.

Next to the forum knife for comparison

Nick did a new style of curved plunge line that looks really cool, it makes the blade really flow

It's an excellent chopper, the geometry, balance and weight are perfect

Limbing small branches was like butta' :D

Choking up for controlled cuts felt very comfortable

In the couple hours of using it, I am more than impressed. But I wouldn't expect anything less form Nick.

Just as we were heading out the door, the mailman arrived with another knife! This is a small forged blade from Stephan Fowler. I saw one mtnfolk mike had made, and I really liked it.

Cutting a small sapling Kochanski/Lundin style

Excellent little carver, thing is razor sharp

My wife even liked it, she said it was cute :D

You have great taste in knives bro, that camp knife looks like it would get lots of use, what is the length of the blade ?

Thanks man. The cutting edge is right at 7". If there was one knife to do it all, this would probably be it for me. It handled both chopping and fine cutting very easily. All the cuts felt smooth and controlled.

Nick also made a cool sheath that has a standard belt loop, and a canted loop for left side cross draw. These are also handy for strapping it to my pack. There's also a small slot at the bottom for a piece of hacksaw blade to strike the ferro rod. That way I don't have to risk using such a large blade to strike it.

The knife is amazing, can't wait to use it more!

I am knife enabler :D I know what you mean man, having green to match the forum knife would have been cool, but I am a sucker for natural micarta. (Plus it will match another knife Nick has been working on for me )

Lord. What a Monday huh? Very nice stuff T. Nick's sheath is just great too.

Great review bro, thanks.

Tknife, you are a lucky man! Two great knives that you can have confidence in. Congratulations!

Thanks Thayne, I always enjoy reading your posts here, as they always have great pics.:D seriously though, I'm truly happy you like the new knife. The other ones will be ready the first of April.

Thanks again
Nick:)

Thanks guys, and especially thanks to Nick and Stephan. You guys made my day with two kickass knives! I can't wait till the weekend when I can get out and use them some more :D

Wow, tknife, those are some great looking knives. I have a house full of knives, but now you made me want two more!
The only custom I have is the Bayley HSK (Hotel Survival Knife).

There are so many top notch makers who contribute here, some really great guys to deal with  You can't go wrong!

Even though we make fun of Bear, I do like the design of that knife quite a bit.

Definitely one helluva stout little blade. It's so compact, it can easily tag along. i saw the pic of the next one Stephan is working on for you, looks awesome
