Hey guys, I got my No Weld Grinder finished and against recommendations I hooked up a 1/2 HP motor to it. As you might have guessed (or already known) 1/2HP WILL NOT work. I used the motor because it was free and I was hoping to save some money. I have been checking into motors and found this one. Please advise me if you guys think it will work. Thanks.

Link didn't work for me. You'll get more responses if you post a photo and specs directly onto the body of the post.

The compressor duty motor has the risk of getting crap in the motor which could prematurely wear or short it out. The motor has a low life expectancy under operating conditions. The TEFC (totally enclosed fan cooled) motor does NOT have this limitation.

I recently finished my own NWG and used a free motor as well initially. The motor crapped out on my and I had to replace. I bought the HF 1hp farm duty motor (thanks to a recommendation from coldsteelburns) and am very happy with it.

Thanks Langadune. How is the hp on it? Several of the reviews say that it seems to have more than 1hp. Also how long have you been using it?
