This is a sheath I made for my Busse NWSAR5, inspired by Saerhrimnir.
This is my second 'carving'.

Pin lock, garnet for the eye.

All comments always welcome. Tell me the bad and ugly and make me better! :)

So far so good! :) I'd love to see the carving go deeper into the leather, it makes it stand out so much better.

I am curious about the snap strap, why is it so long? The pin lock location is original, shows thinking outside the box and thats a good thing! :D

The snap strap was orig going to be short, but I had difficulty getting the pin to release with a short piece of strap. Note on the pin side of the strap is a long pull tab. It is this tab that makes the strap 'stand out' on the other side when snapped. The pin is secure, so the knife won't go anywhere, and the long pull makes it easy to remove the pin and release the knife.
The design is sound, but the execution needs some help! :) Maybe if I used something other than a copper rivet for the pin? The head of the rivet is good sized, and makes for a big stitch area. If I could make those distances smaller,...
So, on the carving, I only went over it once. Should I be making one deeper cut, or should I go over the carving multiple times?

Here is a shot that shows the strap closed head on. You can see the tab inside the strap.
