I received some gift cards for Christmas and am thinking about getting a Buck NXT. Just wondering what some of you who have it think of it and whether the blade could be given a partial serration at the Buck factory? Just read the stroy about the Buck Tool used to stop a bank robbery. Neat story. Maybe Buck should have a "Buck Stories" and give a knife each month for the best story. I enjoy the forum and Buck products. The Buck folks can't be beat.

Russell,
The NXT models for 2001 come in both partially serrated and plain blade configurations. You may chose from grey, cobalt, aqua or red with the black rubber overlay. The cobalt is a dark blue and the aqua is a medium blue. I have a friend who uses his plain blade from last year on a daily basis and he loves the knife.

Russell,
I am trying a new column in the newsletter called "brag on your Buck". Send me your story and if I use it in an upcoming newsletter, i will refurbish your knife and engrave it for free.

Thanks Joe. I think that is a neat idea. I'm sure there are plenty of good stories out there about Buck knives. I know the more I use them and read about the company I am more hooked on Buck that ever.

i just bought the nxt model 282 and noticed it does not have the model ## on the blade. i really like the feel even though it's not the co molded handle.
was the same blade used in both the 281 and 282 so no model #was added ??
thanks,
guy
