Thanks for the pics - question for you? In the pic on the CRK website, the micarta scales look like they're smooth in front of the part with the diagonal cuts. Your pics make it look ike there are straight grooves or cuts in front of the diagonal grooving. Could you post whether that part is smooth or grooved? Thank you.
OK...replying to myself...I re-read the CRK description on their website and it says (boldface added):
Featuring the utility of a drop point and enough belly for skinning, this all purpose knife will prove useful in a multitude of applications.
