I am always amazed at the adaptability of animals. Their survival instinct is astounding!!

and lest we forget, the EXTREMELY pampered and well fed squirrels of NYC. I saw a few in Union Square a number of years ago that were the size of a small cat I'd hate to see how big the racoons that live out back of places like Lombardi's or Sylvias's get....lol

The squirrels out here in suburban NJ won't let you near them. NYC squirrels will mug ya for a piece of your donut!

I got hooked on chocolate chip cookies at one time, and would walk home from work through Central Park. When I stopped to sit and enjoy my coffee and cookie, two or three squirrels would pop up and sit there begging for chocolate chips.

The biggest critters to be seen while driving by are the ones lying still on the grass in Owls Head park facing the BQE.

Sorry, wasn' t talking about owls. They don' t lie down- supine nor prone. At least not the ones that are alive!
