Where can I buy a good nylon sheath (kind of like the Leatherman nylon sheaths) for a Buck 110? I'm looking for something that is well made--not a piece of junk sheath.

Greetings!! You can find a Buck 'nylon' sheath at Smokey Mountain Knife Works. Last time I looked , they were 2.99 ea and 2.49 in a lot of 3. They are marked for the 560 and fit the 110, PCKS, and 885 Taclite.
take care,
guy
add: I've bought 6 and they are first line.

Thanks Guy. I saw a "BU426S" on SMKW, but nothing with "560" in the item number.

I tried to get someone at SMKW to check one of these sheaths and see if a Buck 110 would fit. All I got from them was an employee who would only read off her computer screen (and she was in the showroom, not the order department!). Problem is that one description says these sheaths fit a 4 1/2" knife and another says they fit a 5" knife. Of course the 110 is close to 5" when closed.

I sent SMKW an email of complaint, but have gotten no response. I'm not too impressed with the customer service these days.

I just sent you an email. Would you mind checking to see if the above item# (BU426S) is what you ordered from SMKW? If so, I'll order a few.

Thanks.

Guyon, yes the 426s will work. The 426 is the old Bucklite model that is the same size as the 110. The 422= 112, 424= 501 size.
checking email.
guy

Thanks Guy. I'm going to pick up a few at that price.

Be warned guys, the sheaths SMKW just sent me will not fit a 110. Too small, they will fit a 112.

RMACK, thats good to know. They may have gotten some of the sheaths for the 422 mixed in. Smkw's customer service has been very lax the last 6 months and their shipping habits are likewise sloppy.(Sorry for the rant)I've been buying from them for about 20 years now and I love the bargains they get.And yes, I too have emailed with no response.

Great. I just ordered 6. :grumpy:

Well, if they don't work, SMKW will be taking them back and paying return postage. It says clearly in boldfaced letters in two different spots that these sheaths will fit a 5" knife. Also, the model number on these sheaths is 426, and as Guy points out, the 426 is supposed to be the same size as the 110.

Hey Guys....

Do you realize sheaths are available direct from BUCK ?!?!?

If the ones you get from SMKW "don't" fit the 110 (although if they are marked 426 they should) then contact Larry Oden about some sheaths. His prices can't be beat and I gaurantee you'll get what you want.

BTW- Larry is a member of these forums, a Buck Dealer, and V.P. of the BCCI...

Gypsy, True, but that would be doing it the easy way! At the price SMKW is selling them, its a pretty good deal. And they are genuine Buck.
guy

When I order a 110 sheath direct from Buck, I will order it with a PCKS 110 stuffed into it!

RMack: I'm gearing up to do just that. Finally decided on all the features I want.

Gypsy: Does Larry sell the Buck nylon "ballistic" sheaths?

guyon,

Larry is an Authorized Buck Dealer and can/will sell anything Buck makes as long as it is available from the factory. I know he doesn't keep much inventory on hand, but his ordering and turn around time is minimum. If you need a specific product, such as the ballistic sheaths, I suggest you email him direct. I KNOW he will be happy to answer questions.

Larry Oden ;)

guyon,

After I gave just gave you Larry's email, I sent him a message about this thread. He replied that he can not respond right now, but that BUCK is no longer making "ballistic" nylon sheaths which means he can not help.

SORRY !!! :(

Edited to specifcy "ballistic" nylon sheath - Buck still makes the Cordura Nylon Sheaths and these are available

Well, I'll know soon enough about the SMKW sheaths. They should be here pretty soon. I'll post a response here.

Gypsy: Thanks for checking with Larry.

I purchased one of those sheaths from SMKW a while back. I thouth it was about the same size as the 560 sheath. It is slightly larger, but it will still work ok for a 110.

Well, mine came. All six of them.

They're clearly marked Buck 360 and WILL NOT fit a Buck 110. They'll be going back this week. In fact, I'll be talking to a customer service manager at SMKW tomorrow.

Guy..
Why don't you just pick up a few 112s to stuff in them? That's what I did.

Guyon - I am curious as to the outcome of this situation. Did you get in touch with SMKW and what are they going to do about the sheaths?

Guyon,
Please let me know what the outcome is on this. It is strange that they sent you 360, Buck Tool, sheaths. If they don't have the 110's, let me know and I'll see if we have any around here.
Good luck.
