its nice country, its summer over here now but in winter its covered in snow, heaps of deer everywhere, I was guiding eight tourists and they were loud but every so often on the track you would here a crash and see a flash of brown as a deer races off. I love it mate to be honest and I spend alot of my time in the bush with my pack and rifle

Nice pics. Where abouts were you? I spent quite a bit of time in NZ. Would go back in a heartbeat. The sausages look good too! Lamb?

yes lamb sausages, they were great, cant beat a cooked breakfast. we are in fiordland national park the lake in the photos is the western arm of lake manapouri

hard to say nate, it would have been about 12 degrees during the day and maybe 8 at night, it was windy as hell but in the late evening the wind changed and it started raining but it warmed up alot without the wind.

Great views Stewey. NZ is definitely on my list of places to experience before I die. Thanks for posting.

Its a beautiful country mate, if you like hunting, fishing and the outdoors you will love it, it still amazes me everytime I go bush, if any fellow WSS members ever want to come over to this side of the world PM me and I will do my best to help you out

One of my makes has been in NZ for the past 3 weeks doing a variety of walking tours. Don't suppose you had a tall bloke, unstoppable fast walker named Paul S on your tour did you?

Man, I had the best time over there. It was an extremely beautiful country.
I can honestly say that I would move there in a heartbeat if I could.
You are one lucky man, do not ever forget that.

Nice pics! We're in Wgtn, haven't made it to the S. Island yet. Got too many toddlers! Thanks for posting the pics.

I lived in welly for a year, good times in that city, hated the wind tho. the S island is very different to the north, good people and great countryside, definatly worth a look

Nice pics Stewey. We are heading there in March for 8 days of wilderness trekking and flyfishing....with a bit of Trad bowhunting mixed in... :D
