NZ Hiking trip pics

Nice pics Stewey. We are heading there in March for 8 days of wilderness trekking and flyfishing....with a bit of Trad bowhunting mixed in... :D

good for you mate, it will still be summer so you should have a great time, If you stop by queenstown let me know.

Its funny people want to come here and NZ is on there bucket list, for me the USA is at the top of my bucket list, I cant wait to get a trip to the US sorted.

Im going out again this weekend to climb a mountain in fiordland national park and I will post pics, but I will try to make the slide show more orientated around my gear and what works for me in the bush.

thankyou everyone for the positive feedback and all your kind words, I love the wild and its a pleasure to share the experience with all of you like minded folks

Hey brother, just talked to my wife and showed her your slide show...this would be a great trip for us! If we do decide, I'll shoot you a note; NZ has always been very interesting to me:thumbup:

ETA...if you even want to make a trip to the US, you've go free room and board at our place here in GA (unless the Army moves me in the next year or two:D).

No probs Rock, Keep an eye out for more pics from me as Im going out again this weekend, Do you hunt? if so Im always out hiking and hunting when the army allows and would be happy to take you out with me. I have alot of respect for US servicemen, I was on leave once overseas and I ended up drinking with a group of marines and a couple of army chaps, great guys other than a couple of them with the texan accent being hard to understand. It was one of the best two days of partying and drinking in my short life.

I will get to the US one day mate its at the top of my bucket list, The US is the guns and knives capital of the world in my book, I cant wait

PS check your PM's Rock

I hunt when I can...but I've got a safe (or two) full of toys to play with if you ever make it. My wife is now looking at NZ for a possible vacation trip. "Brothers in Arms" transends borders:D Some of my favorite fellow Soldiers are in the Canucks and I've sponsored and instructed officers from more than 50 different countries. A little alcohol and social environment removes most language and social differences:D
