The knife featured in this post is a fixed blade version of the discontinued Kershaw "Hawk". It features a beautifully swept trailing point and a swedge, which together create a very fine point. I love using these knives for squirrel hunting. The steel is some nice Sheffield O1 tool steel, the kind with Vanadium, and has been tempered low for a fairly hard edge of 62-63HRC. The steel thickness is only 1/16", so the knife is very light. Handle is mesquite wood with black G10 liners. The edge is extremely sharp, of course! Makes for a really nice custom made steak knife as well!
