Hey guys,
For anyone dreaming of camping this summer I have this camper style knife that I've just finished up. It's 1/4" O-1 steel heat treated by Peter's to RC59. Despite the spine thickness it's not all heft. To balance it out I ground a swedge and tapered and hollowed the tang. The balance point is right at the finger choil. The handle is fantastic Velvet Mesquite Burl with orange and black liners. I'll make a pouch style leather or Kydex sheath for this.
SPECS:
OAL: 10.5"
BLADE: 5.5" Long, 1.5" wide, full flat grind slight convex near the edge, 800 grit hand sanded finish, edge down to 0.015" before sharpening.
STEEL: 0.25" O-1 heat treated by Peter's to RC59
HANDLE: Velvet Mesquite Burl, black and orange G10 liners, Canvas micarta pins.
SHEATH: Kydex or pouch style leather sheath included.
$SOLD Shipped CONUS, international buyers welcome, shipping extra.
Post "I'll take it" here in this thread and then email or PM me for arrangements.
Paypal, check or money order accepted.
Comments/Questions/Critiques welcome.
Thanks!
