O-1 Limitations?

What is the largest (read longest) blade that would be acceptable for O-1? Specifically O-1. I know all the 5160, 1095, W-2 etc. purists are just chomping at the bit but I'm just trying to stick with a set and 2 are O-1 now the customer wants a 3rd with a 10" blade for a chopper. Thanks in advance for the input!

Sam Salvati forged an O-1 chopper for me with a 10" blade. No problems...just don't take the edge too thin. (I did the HT on it.:thumbup: )
Holds an edge like you wouldn't believe.

Actually, both are quite good. I'd hate to have to choose between the two.

I have been dying ever since Mitch introduced me to A2 to make a sword from it, but i am not friends with O1 yet.

That's the one I was looking for! I need to find out what angle he ended the edge with (approximate of course...)
