Hey guys,
I've got a good sized hunter up for sale today. It's been on and off my bench for a while now as I've tried to incorporate a few buzzers and bells on it. It started life as a 1/4" bar of O-1 steel that I've hopefully pared down to something that would be at home on your hunting or camping trip.
The blade is a recurve with a sweeping plunge and clipped thumb ramp. The tang is tapered and skeletonized so that the balance point is right at the finger guard. The handle is some of the nicest Arizona Desert Ironwood burl that I've ever worked with. The bolster is black canvas micarta. Right handed leather sheath included.
Specs:
OAL: 10.5"
Blade: 5" recurve, unsharpened clip with thumb ramp. Hand sanded to 600 grit. Edge is 0.15" before sharpening.
Steel: O-1 steel (0.25" at ricasso with distal taper and tapered tang). HT by Peter's to RC59
Handle: Arizona Desert Ironwood Burl, black canvas micarta bolster, micarta pins and carbon fiber tube.
Leather sheath included, (right handed).
$350 shipped CONUS, international buyers welcome, shipping is extra.
Paypal, checks or money orders accepted.
Post "I'll take it" here in this post and then PM or email me for payment/shipping arrangements.
Comments/critiques/questions welcome.

The sheath will be similar to this:

My goodness Robert, that's a man's knife!! The overall lines are elegant & powerful. Every aspect of this piece is of the highest order - I love that close up pic showing the precision of your grinds & flawless blade finish....even the angled line you chose at the bolster transition is a step ahead. For a man who hasn't been doing this hand-made knife thing very long, this is proof that you're in that very first order of makers already - congrats to you & the eventual buyer!

Fantastic design, Fantastic work.

Thanks so much gentlemen. With the level of craftsmanship exhibited here it's been very inspirational to get better with each knife.

Outstanding, Robert... the overall lines, the hand-rubbed blade, and mating of the materials are exquisite. Well done! Cant' wait for your other knife to arrive tomorrow.

Surprised this is still here. Excellent workmanship and a great design. Nice work Rob!
