Lottery is a waste of time, effort, and money. I don't care if the pot is 300M, the chance of winning still isn't worth my $1 :) I can't believe the amount people spend and lose on it just so someone else gets even more when they win.

Sand in your crack is right up there...You're all hot and sweaty, the sun is beating down on you for the last 12 hours, it's 100*+, and the wind decides to blow 50 mph for 3 days :barf:

That is pretty irritating, maybe not worse than crap in your lungs, but crappy none the less....


I'm sure going to miss this place.... ;)
 
sounds like you need to take the afternoon off and go fishing. why don't you grab a half rack fo good flavorful brew and go catch some trout :cool:

If this is still a go, who can I mail my knives too? Not to keep, but transport :p They will have a GPS tracking piece in the box :D
 
I'll be bringing the Birch Knob Polar Drop and a few other production pieces. I should also have the blade that was blown up on TV, if Jerry remembers to pack it. ;) :D
 
KAAK: My offer still stands to transport. Anyone who sends me knives should have them well packed for shipping and a 150 mile ride in the back of a heavily sprung pickup. I do not plan to open them or repack them. (The truck will have a bed cap, so they will not be exposed to the weather.) I'll do this as long as it is a reasonable load, as I have to also transport clothes for two women for three days, Kim's wheelchair, and my teethbrush. Anyone who has ever transported clothes for two women for three days understands the problem.
 
KAAK & MikeH (and anyone else that wants to) send me an email at: shane@swampshack.com if you are looking for a local caretaker. I live near the show and have a large Canon gun safe to store them until you arrive. Just let me know where you're staying and when you'll get in and I'll drop them off for you.

By the way, my forum name on Rat Chat is 'Shane'. I'm not as active on this board, incase you were wondering who was making the offer.
 
Shane: I'll be driving over from Birmingham, so I will be bringing mine. I had offered to transport kinves for anyone who was flying and wanted to ship them to me. You might be a better option for these people, as any that I transport that are not picked up Thursday night would have to stay in a hotel room, at times unattended.
 
So is it better to ship them to someone close or to the hotel & have them bring them.

Or put them in a locked padded bag & check them through luggage?

Due to some developments at work I am running a 75/25 chance of attending Blade. If y'all still want to get together it would probably be wise if someone else stepped up and arranged it.
