May the Gods Bless each and every one of you!

Yvsa,

Lots of Crohn's in my family as well. Mother with several intestinal resections and her brother with the same. Both still around though, and in their 60's and 70's respectively. In fact my uncle just retired. Best wishes for Jess to pull through as well. Very tough on a young kid. Glad she is home.

God Bless The two girls YVSA! And the family in this time of need! May a miracle happen for all of you,you deserve it! :(

At home is always better, no matter what...

Fingers crossed, smoke when it stops raining...

Collective healing wishes are sent.

<<Stella's insurance won't pay on Dr bill's out of Florida for some damned reason.>>

Yvsa, this might be sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong, but I have a suggestion. I am a health insurance broker (in AZ) and I deal with this situation for my clients on occasion. I don't know the particulars of your daughter's health insurance (it could have certain limitations) but most of the time insurance companies look at the overall picture from a financial perspective only if you make a specific effort to bring it to their attention. What I mean is, if you just call up the customer service and ask if you can go outside the plan, the answer is generally no. BUT, if you craft a good letter, where you show that going outside the plan (to another doctor or facility or treatment) will cost a little more short term, but save ALOT more long term, they generally see the light. I suggest a nice letter detailing how seeing this other doctor will probably do more to solve Jessica's illness especially with the alternative being more and constant costly hospital stays. Believe me, any insurance company will do almost anything they can, including making plan exceptions, if they have a reasonable belief that it will prevent more $ drain later.

Anyway, just a suggestion that night help. If I stepped over the line, I apologize.

Yvsa,
The Mayo has a facility in Jacksonville [or they did a few years ago!!] I do not remember the contact info but I am sure it can be googled. They have [had] the ability to treat at their big Kahuna Hospital and bill back thru the Stae of Florida [did it with my Dad].

Hope it helps and of couse Jess remains in my thoughts and prayers. NO child should ever have to suffer at this level..........................

Hope is always "up" my friend.

Still can't find any Barney cards....maybe kitten stickers next. :)

I also thought I remembered Mayo Clinic as having a branch in Florida, so I did a web search - Mayo Clinic does in fact have a clinic branch in Jacksonville, Florida. Apparently they are building a hospital there but that is still in the works. Yvsa, there is info on the clinic and how to set up an appointment in the Mayo Clinic website, which I accessed through google. Best wishes and prayers.

Smoke at sunset and prayers for Jessica.

Yvsa, your great heart and that of your daughter inspire us all.

May all be as you have desired.
