O.T. Waiting is nerve wracking.

my mother was born in a small village (sorry, I do not remember the name offhand) in close vicinity to macchu picchu. Somewhere she has a photo album full of photos from the 60s through 80s there. The next time I am at her house I'll see if she'll let me borrow the album to scan onto the hard drive.

Smoke and prayers for you, Yvsa.

Got the fire going, lots of smoke, EPA paid a visit; I have to file an environmental impact statement . . .

Many blessings to assist you in coping . . .

Prayers for you Yvsa. I've had extreme back pain only once, that was before an emergency operation. I got a spinal tap, had to receive an anestethetic in my lower spine. That was some of the worst pain I've ever had in my entire life, and I was going into surgery for torsion! I don't even want to think about how much that hurt for about fifteen minutes, I can't imagine it being a regular occurrence.

Hey Yvsa, smoke up for you and the pain...I am in kinda basically in the same canoe as you...yesterday I drove down to Morro Bay for a sword get2gether then back home 253mi round trip got me waking up at 3am to slam 1000mg of Vicodin ES so I could go back to sleep a little less pain free...not good...I'll have to go to UCLA or Stamford Medical Center when I am due...only when I am left to crawl will anyone be allowed to cut on me...good luck with your back problems! Smoke up!

My wife has back problems, although not nearly as severe as yours. It kills me to watch her wince every time she moves.

Smoke sent Yvsa. Get better!

The helluvit is that the 30 mgs of Methadone, 30 mgs of Baclofen and 60 mgs of Oxycodone/3750 mgs of Tylenol I take every damned day just ain't cutting the pain anymore.:grumpy:
I occasionally take oxycodone and/or liquid morphine but nowhere near those doses. Have you tried accupuncture? A nurse I met in China said that the terminal cancer patients in China use about 30% of the pain meds that a comparable patient in the US would use. She attributed it to a more stoic attitude towards pain and accupuncture.

Smoke and song are a daily happening Edutsi...

Yvsa, good luck with your back.
The only run ins with back pain I have had were with a former boss - she was a real pain in the ....

My wife has periodically had her back go out. This forces her to sleep upright in a chair, and the last time this happened, she couldn't do anything for a week, besides munch pain killers.
I can't imagine what it is like...hope things get better.

Yuh nSuh?

We could sacrifice munk on a stone altar with an obsidian knife by cutting out his heart and offering to the gods.

We really never got the use out of that altar and knife combo since Brendan chickened out last time.

Now, if we can only get munk somewhere near you....

(BTW, no more temple virgins...logistics and maintenance are unbelieveable!)

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. They are indeed special to me and I Know they Are Helpful.

Kam I tried accupuncture and it is wonderful. Trouble is it's so damned expensive and I just can't afford it.
I do get a theraputic massage about every 5-6 weeks and am due for one this coming Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. I can't hardly wait.
Danielle cuts me some slack on the cost. For most folks it's $90.00 a session, for me and a few others on Medicare it's $75.00.
I really appreciate it as at the higher cost I wouldn't be able to go as often.

Yvsa,
