Steel: Ground O1

Hardness: 58 RC

Blade length: 8 1/4"

Total length: 14"

Blade width: 1 3/4"

Blade thickness: 3/16"

Handle material: Black canvas Micarta

Price: $225 + $8.50 shipping

Balance point: Just ahead of the finger groove

Weight: 16.2 oz.

Right now the blade has a handrubbed 600 grit finish, but if you want it bead blasted I can do that. Like wise the handle has a smooth sanded finish. If you want it bead blasted to give it better purchase, let me know.
Handle has a stainless lined lanyard hole, and I'll include a lanyard.
I can take Paypal, MO or check. If you use a check, please allow 7 to 10 days for it to clear.

Thanks for looking!

Phillip

That's a great idea. I didn't think you we're recommending back pocket carry (sans sheath) on this fine looking blade. :) Great looking sheath BTW.....nice compliment to the blade.

Heh heh. No, back pocket would not work very well...
I'm debating with myself whether I should stick with just leather, or start getting into kydex. Lot's of people have asked me if i do kydex, so it seems like it might be wise to have it as an option. Any advice or opinions would be welcome.

Man, that's a nice looking blade, and a great value for dollar IMO. Do you have a website?

Lagarto

Great work as always Phillip, as all here have agreed---but most have been remiss in either their attention or their knowledge: nice Colt New Service too! So refreshing in this era of plastic "guns" to see another fan of a good old fashioned shootin' iron. I have a couple, military and civilian, myself. I might end up having to take that knife, just so it can remain within sight of real guns and won't become depressed...

No I don't have a website yet, but I'm working on it. Sort of. It's been awhile since I did anything...

Heh heh. I was wondering when someone would comment on the gun. My grandfather bought a M1911 shortly after WWII, but he heard somewhere that autoloaders can fail easily, so he sold it and bought this one. A couple years ago he and my grandma moved into a retirement home, and he sold it to me for a VERY good price.:D I like it, but wished he'd kept the 1911.:(:D
Sorry you can't buy this knife, someone just nabbed it. :D
BTW, how's your bro-in-law liking his knife?

Liking it just fine I'm sad to say---some little part of me hoped the handle would be too big for him, but no such luck. ;) I need to get him down for a hunting/hiking trip one of these days so he can put it to some real use. He told me he was cutting up bananas with it a few days ago, which is just a sad image. :(

Never fear--we'll get some shelters built and meat butchered with it this coming Fall. :)

Congrats to who ever got this one---you've spent your money wisely.

I prefer leather myself, especially on a bigger blade. Kydex leaves me cold...but that's me. If you're getting alot of inquiries about kydex, maybe you should consider it. It certainly can't hurt your business by offering more choices. Go for it.

I love this knife but I hate KYDex! I have kydex on all my high end production stuff and plan on getting leather sheaths for them all.
