What is the meaning of filled checks?

Small natural crevis in the wood,i filled with ca glue and sanded them flush for a great fit and finnish,most woods have small natural voids in them i fill them rather than leaving them open,more less a small stabilization process,for a better look and finnish,HOPE THIS HELPS
