Well , I ground a blade and let it sit. Now I can't remember if it is O1 or 1084. Does anyone have a suggestion of what I should do as far as heat treat?

The heat treats are very close, I'd say heat to 1500*, soak it at temp for 10 mins and quench.

I would do 1500F, 10 minute soak, quench in medium or fast oil. Start tempers low, maybe 350F, walk up from there. If you have some 1084 or O1 (or both) left over, you can try using your micrometer to compare thickness. Understood your ground blade may be a tad thinner than the stock you started from, but it's worth a shot. KnuckledownKnives and I posted simultaneously!

grind it, 01 produces a orange spark
Hey I slkready said that lol, but I got pictures lol. It does not show the orange as well but there are very little burst in the streamers. 1084 should have a much brighter spark with much greater bursts.

With little measuring and a quick spark test, I have determined, thanks to you guys, that it is O1.
Here is a pic of the knife in question, because threads are better with pics. Thanks guys.

HINT:
Mark your blades with a white metal marker ( AKA paint marker) .... on both sides of the tang. It will survive HT and can still be read clearly.
