i disagree with the blade, but YEAH chinese guys can beat it up out of some overpriced and not deserving single penny "usa made" "using D2-supersteel blah blah blah" "mid-tech", that one can see these days.
 
anyway i like the blade shape and i-dunno-why-but-why-not grind of SHY (Aluminum) Stedemon Knives CPM S35VN Monolithic T6 Aluminum
which i will buy for sure.

Something I found discouraging about a certain Stedemon knife, they didn't use 6al4v titanium. They actually scrounged up an even cheaper version of titanium, and I wonder if it takes anodizing very well.
 
did anybody test the lock? like vininull tested strider. maybe it doesn't make difference regarding the knives
 
I picked the blue ano Bastian and promptly returned it. The quality of it was severely lacking compared to the Reate's that I have had my hands on. Stedemon seriously needs to upgrade the quality on a $356.00 knife.
 
thanks, i think i should wait for more reviews then. eh, i liked the grind so much:( do you own some reate's? i had problem with grind on one. anyway adai is so cool.

That is really odd. I was told by a few sources that the bastian was actually made by reate. Not sure about how much truth was in that now. Either way the knife the op is talking about looks to be made by the same people making $50 strider clones and other assorted junk. Below the level of even wild boar. I would NOT even consider it.
 
It was Rival who discussed the material used, it is TC4 titanium.
