Can you guys point me in the direction If I wanted to learn more about handle width to blade width to pommel and guard width?

I want to start drawing but would love a reference then hopefully make something.

I know I read something on it a while back but having trouble locating where I read it. Prefer the type XII or XIV

Appreciate the help guys.
 
making the handle the same width as the riccasso has a nice visual flow. thats about all i know.
 
Thanks John. Be tough though since I'm shooting for a 2-3" wide blade. On a Bowie I completely agree.


Something along the lines as the golden ration or another sword afficiando drew up a grid and the proportions where all relative? Is this ringing a bell for anyone?
