I recently acquired a large Model 2 Obenauf which I am very pleased with. Its perfectly fitted and is the smoothest folder I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

I don't think it will replace my large Sebenza as EDC since I'm more of a tip up kinda guy but it will sure give it a run for its money. One thing I'm curious to know though is if this knife has a bushing or not? I haven't stripped it yet to check.

What Obies do you guys collect/carry?

I have a large Model 2 recurve. Mike's knives are really hard to beat for the price, any one is a good investment.

Well, I recently acquired 2 Obenauf's; small model 2 framelocks. One has a clip point, and the other a drop point! I LOVE his work. I am a big fan. I got the the first Obie, and immediately made a trade offer for the second one. I can't wait to get more!!

I'm sort of partial to them myself. Here are all 3 models with Ironwood scales.

Those are sweet Obies!! I like seeing other folk's Obies. Great thread.

Beauties, all of them. Keep them coming!

So are you guys (and girl:) ) EDC'ing your Obies or are these safe queens?

I like and use the Model 3 most. One with tan G-10 scales and the model 3 in the photo I carried for well over a year.

I've got a couple too! There's also a model four now (wharny). Greg- those ironwoods are sweet!

I have one large mod 2. Blade of S90 and Iron wood scales. I bought it from a member here (Thanks Gary!). I also have one of his dress bandits and couldn´t be happier with any of them. I use them both, the are too good to stay in the safe.

BOK: I don´t think the have bushings.

Thanks swe.

I actually tried tightening down the pivot just earlier today and discovered that.

I'm still in awe of how buttery smooth this knife is.

They are buttery smooth knives, aren't they?! I love my Obies. Mike Obenauf IS one of MY favorite makers.

Today, in the mail, arrived my third Obie!! I am not sure of the model name. All I know is that it is model off the Kit Carson model 21. I don't have any pix yet!! I LOVE my Obies!!!

Good for you TKC!

Be sure to post pics when you have some. Its a great time to be into knives isn't it?

I have two model 2's a small and a mini. They are great knives, my small is my current work EDC. It has taken a beating lately and soon will be sent back to Mike for a refurbish. I redid the bevel angle on my small I made the bevel 15 degrees and it is an incredible slicer, but it is still stout enough to take any punishment I deal it. This picture was taken before the abuse started. The F & F on Mikes knives is amazing.

Thats excellent guys!

Every one of them is a fine looking piece of cutlery. I look forward to adding more to my collection in the future.
