Here are my new and first Sebenza and Umnumzaan.
I got the Sebenza at a local knife store and picked up the Umnumzaan here off the exchange
I had originally intended to get them both and then decide which one I liked better and sell the other. But now, after having a chance to play with both of them, I've decided to keep them both :D

Wow -- you found a plain regular at a retail shop! I didn't know that was still possible. Nice score!

And welcome to the club, deepfry.

You, sir, are a fast learner! :D

I wish you many years of enjoyment from both.

I'm lucky to have a store with a HUGE knife selection near me. They have large and small sebs, regulars, wood inlays, and micarta. Although they mark them up 100 dollars.

Wow, $100 ?!?

Now, I am willing to pay more at a local retailer (support local businesses when I can) and am willing to pay more for the ability to see and handle items before purchasing, but $100 on a $330-$385 knife is over the top. I've told retailers that I am willing to pay 10% more for the above because I value the ability to see/handle and if they are willing to work with me I will buy there. They don't always get to the 10% but if they are willing to "meet me half way" and I can tell they are doing what they can to make me happy and still make their expenses then I happily do business there.

One thing I try to *not* do is go to a retailer, look at and handle their product to help me decide what to buy and then go online and buy it (elsewhere) cheaper. I don't feel this is ethical. That retailer has put time, money and effort into running a storefront and should benefit from his/her efforts if I avail myself of their services.

Good choice on keeping both and Congrats on finding a large regular at a retailer.
Man you guys are so lucky to have stores around that carry CRK's. The beat they have around here Buck or Benchmade. I can't even find Spudercos around here let alone a CRK. Lucky dogs.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone.
The Sebenza was "unused" but it wasn't new, it was sold on consignment and did not have the box or birth cert. It was being sold at regular retail price for a new one, which I would have been fine with if it had come with everything. Since it didn't have those things though, the owner knocked off $15 for me. Not a huge amount I know but it made me happy.

Yep. For some reason they chose CRK knives to markup into oblivion. Pretty much everything else hovers around 10%. A large plain will cost you 500 out of the door.

 I'd love to walk in some place, and lay eyes on one.

I had glanced at it and a large serrated micarta 21 next to it many times over the last year or so without ever giving them any thought. In fact I didn't even know what a "Regular" or "21" was until very recently when I decided it was time to finally see what they were all about for myself. I only knew that they were Sebenzas. I actually went in with the intention of getting the serrated micarta one but being, by that point, now aware of the various versions and the apparent scarcity of the regulars, when I saw what it was, I went with the regular. Well, that and it was cheaper ;)

In a way, I suppose I should thank all the recent dramas regarding the Sebenza for piquing my interest enough to finally pull the trigger on one.

Nice pair! I really prefer the Regular Sebenza over the 21. Feels better in my hand. Love the Swedge as well. Zaan is still on my purchase list though. Nice....
