Mine showed up today, awesome blade. (w/ a little Muskrat love ;))

Great pictures !!

....... and you answered my unasked question, you DO have an HG55 MO as a mold

Always nice to see it next to a Blade I have, so I get a good idea of the size. Thanks, cool pics.

How do the HG55's feel balance wise Scott? Being too heavy in the handle was a concern for me with the .25 thickness....your views would be very interesting.....

Yes, please tell, I'm on the fence on these. I almost ordered one but I wanted to wait for peoples comments.:D

my $0.02

The balance is great, I only had a short while at lunch to play, but I was really impressed at how neutral it is. Great fighter.

Funny, it seemed a bit better balanced for me with the shipping sleeve on, what does that cardboard weigh  may a couple of grams , maybe it's just perspective.

It will be interesting to see how the 'production' versions differ from the MOs as far as balance.

Thanks Jimmy....I have an LE on order and have been wanting a good 5 inch Infi option to my RMD...I tried a BATAC LE and whilst bowled over at the "tank" like strength....it felt a bit handle heavy for me...I figured with the thin low profile handle on the HG55 the .25 thickness might not be an issue....but I like the shape of this blade so much....the knife is going to my mate Jeremy Horton to be bead blasted and if it was balanced like that I would ask him to remove the handles and taper the hilt and fit new carbon grips....infact I might ask for this anyway....I like my knives balanced just infront of the grip with a slight blade heavy feel....J did a "skinny" camp blood serration knife for me ( skinny is .27 for J ) and this balances just like that and is my best "handling" 7-8 inch knife. Definately makes a difference on speed and slicing/cutting power....and I think I will also like this in a "fighter-general purpose" design.

It does feel great in the hand, and the balance point is just behind the first tube fastener.
The milli version is s'pose to have more steel at the pointy end....

Hmmm...a bit further back than I expected...I will have a chat with J when he receives it...even if he can get it a bit more neutral that would help...
Thanks Scott:thumbup:

I think the LE will be a little more blade heavy without the fancy milling work in the blade.

When it is in your hand, your first finger wraps around exactly at the balance point, which makes it perfection in my opinion.
I think you should check it out before having it modded:thumbup:

For a blade heavy feal, what abount grinding the rear talon hole off?

Thanks for the pics. It just makes me want my LE even more. This will be my only Limited Edition Busse.

Very nice, I only ordered the LE, but after seeing your pictures I might order the regular HG55 as well. My wallet says: "don't visit the Busse Combat Knives section any longer", but my heart is screaming for more INFI. What to do?
