Well...two people have them and both think the balance is perfect...so I think I will leave it alone and just double cut the finish...balanced over the fore finger is no bad thing...my RMD balances like that...I was thinking though that a .25 thick blade ought to feel a little "weight forward" allowing for the thickness...although it is hard to tell without having the knife in hand....

In anything but a chopper, I like the balance on the first finger. I'm sure that full tang contributes to the weight in the handle.
 
My only complaint:eek: from my limited playing,

With my thumb on the thumb grooves, the the little hump above the talon hole feels like it would generate a hot spot if I was skinning or doing extended food prep.

There's some sharp corners there that need to be knocked off.


If I decide to make it a user :rolleyes:, I think I'll mod that end of the slabs.

I would go for any mod that made you feel "right" with the knife in hand....first impressions are usually good ones....and a useful 5 inch size like this has surely got to be a "user":thumbup:

I just got done cleaning it up with the fingernail file on my SAK Classic, much more comfortable.

How are the other girls (SH-E & HR) taking the news that you have a new best friend. :D
 
I cant wait to get the LE, at first I wasnt sure how I'd feel about this knife. Now I may order a CG after having the Ganzaa Version.
