This is a unique flint-knapped obsidian knife by North Carolina artist James Parker, well-known for his period pieces and especially for his flint knapping—beautiful job. The blade is shaped very symmetrically from black-and-rust-colored obsidian and sinew wrapped to the handle, which is made from the jawbone of a cougar. Overall length is 7 ½”.
