Yeah, that's extremely appealing, but I've already blown the knife budget for the year. I hope to see a bunch of pics of these once the Porch members get them in hand.Oh no. Brass bolsters and OD green Micarta just when the budget runs dry. Oh well. We all must show restraint at some point
.
Just realized that. Wonder how do they hold then? Just glued?I am very tempted… my biggest holdup is the covers not being pinned.
Haha, I kept thinking it looked a little off somehow, but it didn’t register till I saw your comment. That’s it, no pins!I am very tempted… my biggest holdup is the covers not being pinned.

Good catch. I totally missed it. On last years BOTM 301 the burlap micarta was pinned.I am very tempted… my biggest holdup is the covers not being pinned.
Still gives me a bad impression though, remembering falling out shields on many old and new pocket knives of different manufacturers. Each time I handle my Buck Solitaire I think about the shield "would that fall out one day or not?". It also has pretty strong smell of some kind of glue. I always thought that is coming from a stabilized wood, but now I think maybe it's a shield, because it was glued. That said, I don’t think I’ve seen any pics of the scales popped off, and I’ve seen some pretty beat up Bucks.
