No half stopsAnyone know if these have half-stops?
I couldn’t resist,
Me eitherI couldn’t resist either!
I would have guessed yes, based on the clicks heard in the video (though I only heard them for the clip)...but that's why I didn't answer. No half stops
No half stops on the regular production 3 blade 301 or on the 2 blade 2018 forum knife and last years BOTM. I can’t imagine they’ve changed it with this recent run, but I’ve been wrong before!I would have guessed yes, based on the clicks heard in the video (though I only heard them for the clip)...but that's why I didn't answer.
I think there have only been a few other 300's as Web Specials. There was an elk/brass 303 in early 2018, a white paper micarta (I think?) 301 that I missed, and last years burlap micarta 301 with 2 blades. I'd love to see more.It sure seems like a brisk seller. It would be nice if Buck would run more 300 series variants as Web Specials or go all out and offer something like a rotating line-up with different cover/steel/blade configs.
One can dream!
Mine came today as well. I agree with what was said above. It seems like there are gaps in the springs but I don’t see light when open coming through. This one is going to be a user.Surprise delivery by USPS today.
I really like the weight the brass gives the knife. Grinds are a little bit uneven, but blades have nice walk and talk and fit and finish overall is pretty good. This one is going straight in the pocket today.
