That is a fine knife. And if I hadn't spent my knife budget I would take one in a heartbeat.:thumbup:

loads of energy! I need a doctor! Oh, and btw, I might be interested in one if you are going to make it like that, but with some orange spacers :) Hope to see a nice mix of handles..

Coming your way Sloth! I got a few all glued & pinned up, w/ a nice mix of colors, they haven't been sanded down yet.
The orange was something I hadn't made up yet, but was pondering placing them in the set.
Do me a flavor & keep your eyes posted over the next few days, & I'll make that happen.

Very Nice! Watch out when the Busse freaks see it they will accuse you of stealing the "talon hole" or whatever they call it.

With all respect to other knifemakers out there, I feel this style is not copied nor a duplication of anything else mainstream.
Should Mr. Busse have an issue with this, I would be more than happy to listen to his concerns.

Thanks gang

Blade thickness is 3/16". Pic #5 shows International Orange G10 scales next to the spine of the blade.
For comparison, the orange G10 in that pic is 1/8", the spine of the knife is 3/16". That might help out more w/ a visual on blade thickness.

I have found that for my hands, a 4" "grip area" on the bottom of the handle, between the curves at the front and rear quiliion, as well as a little curvature behind the front quillion and in front of the rear quillion, with the thickness of the handle tapered toward the front of the handle and at the front quilliuon, to about 1/2" or less.

I heat this style blade up to 1425 degrees, soak for desired time, quench, then temper 3 times.
I don't have a Rockwell tester, accurate ones are thousands of dollars.
My guess would be in the 59 range, I intentionally add just a wee bit of softness in the blade so that it's sharp enough once the edge is polished, to shave the hair off my arm. If it can't do that it's still too hard, and I'll give it another 20-30 mins of temper until it will.

Gotta remove this listing guys. I'll be back w/ a similar style soon. Thank you for all your interest. This item is no longer available.
