Don't want to come across as anxious, but i'm dying for some juicy info on the Lee Williams OD1 :D

Is there any info on its development ? :)

Nothing new that I know of. The last info was in this thread. Sometime 3rd quarter, and it will have the 14C28N even if it does ship prior to Jan 09!

We continue to work with Lee on some final geometry changes, but I would look for the OD-1 to debut in Sept.

Hmmm I can't help but notice that a lot of online retailers have the OD-1 already listed as coming soon.... how soon :D ?

That Ionbond guy's got one, he'll work a deal with you A17.

Haha, Ill tell him you said he has to give it to me. I will just wait until the production version comes out, will it be much different than the proto? Or is it just minor geometry changes?

Is that a Hinderer-type stop that I see on the lockbar side?

I know we all joke about Kershaw having an uncanny ability to release quality knives on the cheap, but my God.
G10, frame-lock, JL Williams design with new 'overdrive' flipper and new Sandvik steel...all for an MSRP of $80 or so? How is that even possible?

I know Thomas must hate us constantly putting the cart before the horse when it comes to boutique runs, but can you guys imagine this with micarta, titanium and something like ZDP or SG2? Mind-blowing.

Kershaw is an amazing company, especially lately, they are putting out some killer products at killer prices.

The geometry changes have to do with the CrossFire mechanism, and are all internal.

Thanks for the kind words redsst, and yes that is a Hinderer lock stabilizer.

Made in the USA even...I will say it's not easy.

(in my best Mr. Burns' accent) Exxxcellent!!!

Oops. How could I forget American Made. Thats the icing on the cake. Especially right now, with our economy the way it is. That is not an easy task.

I just saw something else about the OD-1 that I hadn't noticed before. NO FREAKIN' CHOIL!!! Not to stir the pot or start this same old arguement here, but I think the lack of a choil will put this knife above the ENER-G's in my book. Not that I don't enjoy a good finger choil as much as the next guy, but the small sharpening choils always seem to get hung-up on what ever medium I happen to be cutting.

I haven't been this excited about a new release since the R.A.M.

Thomas, I'm starting to get a little nervous on the release date on this one.

All the retail sites I go to are saying forth quarter 2008; some with a release date on December 31st.

Is the OD-1 still expected in the third quarter, in September?

I'll trade you one of my children for one. :)
